I love eggs for breakfast, but Mangy is a little strange. Some days he’ll order poached eggs and thoroughly enjoy them for breakfast. Other days he’ll refuse to eat them, claiming that they’re too eggy. How can eggs not be eggy?? I I try to be open minded about his quirks, but sometimes I wonder about his food habits….just a little too weird for my taste. Continue reading Breakfast Soufflé

Waffles
My brother is visiting at the moment and as he’s my only sibling (hopefully – my dad was a flower child, so you’d never know), I’ve been spoiling him quite a bit. He was pretty hung over on Friday morning, so I thought waffles would wake him up a bit. Aren’t I sweet (awww..)? Continue reading Waffles
Corn Pakoda
My baby brother (he’s 25!) is here to visit and will be staying with us for a month. So I’ve had to up my game and come with creative solutions to keep him well-fed. Low Carb ‘Upma’ (cauliflower)
No, you didn’t misread the title 🙂 This is my take on a low carb upma, and it was awesome! I can’t believe I didn’t try this sooner, but I’m so glad I finally gave it a shot. I think this might be a great way to get kids to eat cauliflower, I doubt they would know the difference! Continue reading Low Carb ‘Upma’ (cauliflower)
Rosemary Muffins
Mangy and I are absolutely addicted to rosemary. I’ve been very lucky to have a friend at work who grows masses of rosemary, she’s been keeping me well-supplied!
Pesto Cheese Scones
Mangy came home one night from work and raved about the beautiful pesto scones he had at the cafeteria at work. I asked him to describe it, and he said it was incredibly tasty and he especially loved the pesto stuffed into the layers. Immediately I started to suspect that something was wrong. Scones with layers?? Huh? Continue reading Pesto Cheese Scones
